My feelings about this trip are a bit mixed. I felt nervous and worried about money, but at the same time I felt kind of lucky that I chose AXA Full Coverage when I booked with QEEQ. At that moment I only thought that it was a business trip and more insurance would make me feel safe. I did not expect it would really help me later. This was in Bergamo in Italy. I went to pick up the car around the afternoon of June 1st 2026. It was a Peugeot 208 with manual gear. A small car and it looked pretty new. I was on a business trip and my schedule was tight. My head was full of meetings and work. I just signed the papers at the counter fast and drove away. Then the story jumps. One day I parked the car on the street and went to meet a client. The weather was nice and the street was calm. When I walked back and saw the car from far away, I felt something was wrong. The light on the front glass looked strange. I walked closer and saw a clear crack on the windshield. It looked like someone hit it. I just froze there. My first thought in my head was this is bad and I will have to pay a lot of money. I called the people at the rental counter and took the car back to them. The staff checked the car. Their attitude was normal. They just told me the glass damage would be charged by their rules and the amount was not small. When I paid with my card I felt very uncomfortable. Watching those numbers show on the screen, I could feel my heart sinking. As a business traveler this kind of extra cost really hurts. Then I remembered I had chosen AXA Full Coverage. I had a little hope and I contacted the customer service team. I explained what happened and sent them the charge slip from the rental company. I was worried they might give excuses or refuse to pay because the amount was more than five hundred euro. For me that is not a small number. They asked me for some documents like the damage report and a copy of my passport. I was busy with work and at the same time I needed to collect all these files. Those days my mind was always on this case. I was afraid the documents were not enough and I was also afraid it would take a long time. When I finally sent everything I just told myself that if I could get back some of the money it would already be good. After a short time they told me the rental company confirmed the glass damage amount as 532.58 euro and that another part of the bill was an upgrade I had accepted so it was not covered. They explained this very clearly and I could understand that. The important part was they said this 532.58 euro would be paid under AXA Full Coverage and they would help pay this amount to me. At that moment I really felt a big relief. The pain I felt when I paid at the counter was much lighter. I was ready to lose that money for nothing. Instead it became something like I pay first and then get it back. The pressure was much smaller. For someone who travels for business a lot this feeling matters. The mental stress is not so heavy. When I think about it now if I did not have AXA Full Coverage then this kind of sudden glass crack would be my problem alone. The rental company has its rules and you cannot really fight them. With this cover even if the process needs some effort and I have to prepare many proofs the direction is clear. The result is real. They helped me get back the glass damage cost in cash and that made a big difference to this whole experience.
