Airport Terminal Instructions COUNTER: Located near the baggage claim area. CARS: Located directly across from the Melbourne Airport on Nasa Blvd. RETURNS: Follow signs to the vehicle return area. AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Follow the "car rental return" sign to the Budget/Avis rental cars parking lot. Write down on the rental jacket the mileage, fuel level and date/time of return, cross the street to the terminal and go to the Budget counter where there is a black metal drop box on the counter. Deposit both the key and rental agreement. The drop box can only be accessed while the airport is opened. The airport closes after the last flight has landed. If there are no delayed flights, the airport police lock the doors for the rental cars counters area at 12:00 AM. So there will be no access to the drop box between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM the following morning.
